MAYA Jama lead the glamour at the MOBOs tonight as Nines, Headie One and Mahalia were the big winners. The prestigious awards returned for the first time in three years tonight and was streamed live on YouTube with a virtual red carpet due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The MOBOs were hosted by Maya and Chunkz and honoured the finest artists and achievements in music of black origin. Airplane Mode rapper Nines took home the Album of the Year award for Crabs in a Bucket as well as Best Hip Hop Act at the music awards.
And Mahalia scooped Best Female Act as well as Best R&B/Soul Act. Young T & Bugsey won Song of the Year for their track Don't Rush that went viral on TikTok during lockdown.
