Martin Lewis has admitted he is 'disappointed' as a change he had campaigned for to help first-time buyers was dismissed in the Spring Budget.
Jeremy Hunt delivered his plans in the House of Commons on Wednesday (March 6) with some key cuts to tax and spending announced.
There were also some announcements set to affect homeowners, with the Chancellor revealing he will scrap tax breaks for second homeowners who let out their properties to tourists in a bid to improve the availability of long-term rentals.
Ahead of the Budget, experts expected there to be other changes made to the property sector, including Stamp Duty cuts and 99 percent mortgages which would allow first-time buyers to purchase their first home with just a 1 percent deposit.
