Manchester is set to enjoy warmer than usual temperatures this week, with highs of around 17 degrees. Much of the nation will also see dry and pleasant conditions, with some temperatures tipping into the low 20s, ahead of Halloween, as an 'African plume' is to bring an Indian summer.

On Tuesday, conditions will be much the same, with temperatures of around 15C and some cloud by the evening. Wednesday and Thursday will be mostly cloudy with some chances of light showers, with Friday set to be the warmest day, with a peak of around 17C.
