Fans queuing to secure tickets for comedian Peter Kay's two Glasgow's OVO Hydro dates exceeded the venue's capacity - as briefs are already appearing online for ten times the face value.
Tickets to see the comic during his first stand-up tour in more than a decade went on sale this morning - but many fans will be left disappointed as some reported more than 90,000 people were in the online queue on Ticketmaster.With a seating and standing capacity, the OVO Hydro can only hold 14,300 people.Tickets for other UK dates are already being resold at extortionate prices on resale sites.
For the comic's opening night on December 2 at the AO Arena in Manchester, tickets that started at £35 face value have appeared for a whopping £707.Tickets for the Glasgow gigs have appeared online for £400 - 10 times the face value.Fans took to Twitter to express their dismay.One person said: "How are sites like Viagogo allowed?
Peter Kay at the Hydro - £400 per ticket - 10 times the face value amount. Scandalous."Another added: "Sat since 9.30am to get Peter Kay tickets for Glasgow, got in with 17,000 in front of me.
