There are two transfers that come to mind with Manchester United's pursuit of Leny Yoro. The first is the deal for Anthony Martial worth over £54million in 2016, and the second is at the other end of the scale in Raphael Varane.
One was a teenage prodigy came from France as a star of the future. Varane had been through his peak and come out the other side by the time he moved to Old Trafford, but as a Lens youngster and an undeniable defensive talent, there are comparisons to be made.
Yoro has already been put up against Varane and is considered possibly the best centre-back France and Ligue 1 have produced since Real Madrid signed the four-time Champions League winner in 2011.
Big shoes to fill and expectations to meet for Yoro, but with 60 senior appearances as an 18-year-old, and 46 of those in the league plus European experience, he has made fine start.
