Man caught out by his own greed in full view of CCTV cameras

A dad, who was labelled as 'greedy', stole £7k from a charity and spent it on a bike and an engagement ring. Peter Robinson took more than £7,000 from Blackburne House, a charity that helps vulnerable women.

He was caught when he tried to steal another £25,000. Robinson had been working for the charity, based in Liverpool city centre, for about seven years.

But last July, the charity found out about strange activity on its bank account after a refund of £25,000 was not allowed. Christopher Taylor, who was prosecuting, explained how other similar transactions were discovered.
