Major river search underway after discovery of unwell boys

Emergency services are carrying out searches of a river in Lincolnshire after two boys were discovered unwell near the bank in the early hours of this morning.

Humberside Police said specialist officers and teams from other emergency services are scouring the area to "establish if there are any other people that require assistance", GrimsbyLive reports.

A scene guard is in place during the search. In a statement, Humberside Police said: "Enquiries are underway in Grimsby after two teenage boys were found unwell near to the River Freshney shortly after 5am this morning, Sunday, October 20. READ MORE: "A scene guard is currently in place whilst specialist officers and partner agencies carry out searches in the area to establish if there are any other people that require assistance. "We urge anyone with information that may assist our investigations to please call us on 101 quoting log 94 of 20 October."
