Ella Morgan has shared that she put her parents "through the mill" as a teenager. Speaking on Queer Love Stories podcast, hosted by Eden Heath, the Married At First Sight UK star said that she believes her parents struggled with her transitioning.
She revealed that her mum and dad never properly grieved losing a son. A section of the podcast was shared on Instagram with the caption: "In episode one, we explored the intricate dynamics and the impact transitioning can have on family life. "It’s heart-warming to hear from so many of you who’ve shared how much you’ve learned from our conversation with Ella Morgan." In the clip shared on Instagram, Ella said: "Me and my parents are so so close and I love my family and I'm so lucky to have them but I have put them through the mill. "I have put them through a lot, that I I've never really spoken about.
A lot of people don't understand that actually with trans people, it's hard for us, but in my eyes it's actually harder for my family, it was harder for my parents. "They obviously gave birth to a boy who then ended up disappearing and changing overnight.
And I don't think my mum or dad ever grieved me, losing Evan. "To me, I see Evan and Ella as the same people, I just look different and I'm a different version.
