Livingston match-winner James Penrice admits that he and his team-mates were relieved to end their winless with a 2-1 victory over Dundee United, writes David Hastie.Bruce Anderson gave the Lions an early lead on 10 minutes before Ian Harkes pulled the Tayside club level only for Penrice to seal the three points for the hosts in the second-half.The 24-year-old commented: "I think with the run we've been on, it's not been great.
We're glad to get the win and it hopefully pushes us on for the next two games."The boys were hurting the last few games. From missing out on the top six and then, not quite freefall but not picking up points, it wasn't good enough.
But our home form has been not too bad and it's our away form that's been a problem. Hopefully we get a run together to end the season on a high."He added: "I think it gets to the point in the season where teams are fighting for their lives.
Dundee United were throwing everything at us but we need to adapt. It can't always be pretty football."We were playing pretty football in January then it got hard and we struggled.
