It was followed by popular businesses including the Shangri-La on the town’s Castle Street, the Pir Palace in Uddingston, Wishaw restaurant, pub, club and hotel Mirage and later Hamilton nightclub 3D.
He most recently set up The Original Mr Chef in 2010 alongside son Wasim who continues to run its two outlets at Townhead Street in Hamilton and Main Street in Uddingston – with the business winning the category of best takeaway and home delivery at the same awards ceremony.While he is now semi-retired, he continues
