Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction

justjared.comLiam Payne is opening up about spending time in the hospital. The 29-year-old “Strip That Down” pop star took to social media on Friday (August 25) to reveal that he had to postpone a planned tour of South America after spending a week receiving medical care.
He opened up about what happened and offered a heartfelt apology to everyone who was excitd to see him on the road. Read more about Liam Payne’s tour and illness… “It’s with a heavy heart I have to tell you that we have no other choice but to postpone my upcoming tour of South America,” Liam wrote on X. “Over the past week I’ve been in hospital with a serious kidney infection, it’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone, and doctors orders are that I now need to rest and recover.” He continued, writing, “I was beyond excited to come play for you guys.” Liam promised that there were plans in the works to reschedule but made sure to let fans know that they could refund their tickets at the point of purchase.
