A X-Factor star wowed audiences at a fun-filled festive party night in East Kilbride.Nicholas McDonald, who hails from Wishaw, took to the stage at the Ballerup Hall at the weekend.He and South Lanarkshire-based singer Scott Wallace entertained party-goers at The Big Festive Party Nights.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

She told us: "It was a great night and definitely got my table in the festive mood. A lot of us had forgotten how good his music is."Nicholas was fantastic, his voice was great and he had a good repertoire of songs and styles of music that got everyone up dancing."The organisers had went to a lot of effort and made the Ballerup Hall look really festive and the DJ on the night was brilliant too."It was such an enjoyable night and I'm so glad I entered and won."The party nights included a three-course meal with waitress service, photo booth, LED dance floor, shots bar and Xmas novelties.

Organiser of the night, Colin MacIver of Barocco Bar and CMC Discos, said: "The weekend was a success and the competition winners loved the experience. "We are looking to hold festive party nights next December on the 15/16th.
