A domestic abuser who knocked his partner’s false teeth out of her mouth has been freed from prison just in time for Christmas.Colin McPherson also caused the woman to pass out by pressing his knee against her throat.

McPherson, 42, of The Village, Cumbernauld, appeared from custody at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week. The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

McPherson also admitted threatening or abusive behaviour towards police officers.He had been held in custody since his arrest, but Sheriff Thomas Millar released him on a two-year social work supervision order.McPherson will be electronically tagged for three months, meaning he can’t go out between 7pm and 7am.Jennifer Cunningham, prosecuting, told the court: “He punched the woman, causing her false teeth to fall out.“She fell back, hitting her head on a cabinet.
