Matthew Vaughn, director of the Kick-Ass film franchise, is teasing the reboot movie and saying that none of the previous actors are coming back but leaves the door open for future installments. “Kick-Ass changed people’s perception of what a superhero film is.

We’re doing it again,” Vaughn said during a panel at New York Comic Con, per EW. “None of the other characters from the other Kick-Ass are in it, though we’d like to have them back after the reboot.

I can’t really talk about it, but it’s fun!” Kick-Ass is a 2010 film directed by Vaughn from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jane Goldman, based on the comic book created by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.

The first installment starred Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloë Grace Moretz, Mark Strong and Nicolas Cage.
