With the Princess' return being slow and steady, a leading royal expert has explained the significance behind this first engagement.
Speaking exclusively to OK!, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond said: "Small steps, taken slowly in her own time.That, I think, is Catherine’s way back to health, happiness and work.
It may only have been a meeting at Windsor Castle, but it was a very significant step to have it detailed in the Court Circular. "This was an official meeting about a campaign that has been described as her life’s work: early years development." Then, reflecting on how, after nine months of worries, Prince William would have been feeling about Kate's first return back to royal work, Jennie adds: "It must have been very reassuring for William to know that his wife was feeling well enough to be back doing the job she cares so passionately about. "It is another marker in Catherine’s long journey to full recovery.
