Kate Middleton’s parents Carole and Michael have reportedly been targeted with 'abusive' posters that are said to have been put up in their village after the collapse of their business, Party Pieces.

According to The Sun, the posters were stuck on trees and lampposts around the Middleton's leafy village of Bucklebury, Berkshire, which is said to have left their son James furiously 'tearing them down'.The family's business, which sold balloons and decorations for kids' parties, was sold earlier this year before going into administration with £2.5million debt. The Sun reports that 'angry suppliers' are still owed money from the firm, and want the parents of the Princess of Wales, Carole, 68, and Michael, 74, to pay money out of their own pockets to settle the debt.

A source told the publication: “Carole and Michael are incredibly popular. Everyone is horrified by these posters. It’s unfair to do this in their home village, just yards from where they live. "Their son James lives nearby and so does Pippa who has moved around there recently with her family so they all have to be confronted by this. They are doing their best to make things right and don’t deserve this kind of abuse.” Kate Middleton's brother James, 36, lives in the area with his pregnant French wife Alizee, 33.

OK! has contacted Carole Middleton's reps for comment. The Middletons started their Party Pieces business back in 1987, from the humble beginnings of their kitchen table.
