Jim Goodwin has challenged his Aberdeen squad to keep a hold of third spot going into the World Cup break. The Dons’ dire away form continued as they crashed at Livingston but they got off the hook as their main rivals, including Hearts and Hibs, also lost.
Goodwin is looking for a reaction against Dundee United and is buoyed by the fact his Dons are a different proposition at home.
The Aberdeen boss said: “We have an opportunity to make amends on Saturday and if we can play to the level we did in the second half at Livingston – but consistently over the 90 minutes – we will give ourselves a real chance of winning the game.
I’m not standing here like I did after the Dundee United game, where it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. “I’ve real frustrations and disappointment on how we started the game because that’s how we ended up losing, we gave Livingston a 2-0 start.
