The 54-year-old BBC presenter appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' court to face one charge against his estranged wife. The couple split in summer leaving fans shocked by the news.
Yesterday, Jay was flanked by two pals as he left court and looked a world away from his TV persona. Sporting a long pink puffer jacket, a hoodie, joggers and black Nike trainers, the star kept his head down as he made his way through the scrum of waiting paparazzi before heading into a car in pictures obtained by the Sun.He was arrested on May 3, the same day his wife Lisa Zbozen publicly announced they had ended their 18-month marriage.
The dad-of-three is accused of physical and emotional abuse towards her between January 1, 2023 and September 12, 2024.A spokeswoman for West Mercia Police said: “54-year-old Jason Blades of Claverley in Wolverhampton has been charged with controlling and coercive behaviour.” Jay was bailed on the condition he does not contact Lisa directly or indirectly.
