ok.co.ukActor Toby Jones has won the nation's hearts while portraying real life hero Alan Bates in ITV's Mr Bates vs The Post Office, and fans have been left shocked after discovering a rather surprising role he had in the past.Toby, 57, has starred in a number of popular films and TV shows, and has appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Unvierse, the Harry Potter franchise, and The Hunger Games trilogy.
He appeared as Dr. Arnim Zola in two Captain America films, and as Claudius Templesmith in The Hunger Games, but it's his Harry Potter role that has left fans shocked with some only recently disovering that he provided the voice for Dobby the house elf.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one wrote: "Toby Jones is great, absolutely loved him in Dr Who and lost my mind back then when I found out he voiced Dobby.
Now he's on the list of "actors i genuinely get excited to see in a tv show/film." While another simply added: "20 years and I never once realised Toby Jones voiced Dobby in Harry Potter." "Disappointed/hurt/confused/amazed at the fact it’s taken me THIS LONG to realise that Toby Jones voices Dobby like wtf" quipped another.
