Ricky Hatton has been the first celebrity to be voted out of the latest series of Dancing on Ice.Ricky and his professional partner Robin Johnstone danced to Elvis' 'If I Can Dream' in the skate off.

They were up against comedian Lou Sanders and her professional partner Brendyn Hatfield. All four judges opted to save Lou and Brendyn, sending the pair into movie week.

The unanimous decision meant that Ricky and Robin were the first couple to be axed from the show.Speaking after, Ricky confessed he was "gutted" and praised his skating partner for her hard work.He went on to say that he was pleased with how far he had come along on the show in just a week, after adding new features to his routine which the judges applauded.Last week when Ricky discovered he was in the skate off, he said: "I should have never been here, but it's another week of practice.

And we'll just practice and hopefully get another chance to make people smile again."Despite being the first to go, Ricky already got the change to get the audience giggling as last week show host Stephen Mulhearn suffered a 'nasty blow' and was knocked flying in an unexpected skit. The hilarious moment saw former professional boxer Ricky Hatton provoked by Stephen, making Ricky - who ended up in the first skate-off - his human microphone holder.Holly then quipped that Ricky should 'just hit' her co-host, as she joked: "Please just hit him" and to viewers' surprise, the boxer did just that, leaving Holly visibly shocked. The punch resulted in Stephen flying to the floor behind her. Dancing on Ice continues next Sunday at 6:20pm on ITV. Get the latest celebrity gossip and telly news sent straight to your inbox.
