'It's a load of rubbish': Park users react to claims flagship site could become a 'no-go area'

Last week, the Manchester Evening News reported that Coun Dave Murphy, the Liberal Democrat shadow cabinet member for neighbourhoods, was concerned about too many “disturbing” incidents at the park, including an attempted sexual assault in early January.

Some were outraged at the suggestion, so one of our reporters donned her walking shoes, gathered her mac, and headed down to the perfectly-maintained park to see what people in the area thought.
