I'm A Celebrity camp exposed as 'fake jungle' ahead of launch

The camp on ITV's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! isn't as rough as it seems. One aspect of the 'jungle' that isn't all that it seems is that it isn't actually a jungle at all.The show is filmed in Springbrook National Park which, according to The Mirror, is defined by Tweed Shire Council instead as "lowland subtropical rainforest." It has also been revealed that the camp has a secret roof to protect recording equipment and feed the celebs when their Bushtucker Trial rewards arrive.

However, the 'roof' doesn't shield the campmates when they are sleeping underneath the Australian stars. A TV insider said: ""A lot of the camp is not under shelter - it’s not like the roof at Wimbledon." "Funny that when it's pouring down with rain the fire's still going and their hair's never wet #ImACeleb," one fan of the show has previously tweeted.

Another viewer mused: "The fact all the celebrities are completely dry when it's supposedly 'torrential rain' just shows how much of a set up it all is." Insiders have revealed the waterfall shower actually has an 'off switch' in order to turn the water supply off between 3pm until 6pm to conserve water.

As I'm A Celebrity airs every year, the infamous shower often provides some iconic scenes - with former star Nicola McLean recently admitting she braved the cold water in a bid to secure more airtime on the show.The treehouse cheeky Geordie duo Ant and Dec often share their hilarious jokes and commentary about the celebrities from appears to have a new orange canopy not seen when the show previously aired from Australia.
