As the cost of living continues to climb, many of us are looking for ways to reduce our spending - whether its cutting back on takeaways or changing to supermarket own brands to save on the weekly shop.
However, most people have at least one particular brand they are willing to splash out on, with Mirror journalist Emma Rosemurgey's being Diet Coke.
She decided to put her favourite fizzy drink to the test against supermarkets' cheaper own-brand alternatives to see if there was actually a noticeable difference in the taste.
Lidl, Aldi, Morrisons and Tesco versions were chosen to go head-to-head with one of the biggest and most influential brands in the world - and the results were pretty surprising.★★★★★★★I'm a huge fan of shopping at budget supermarkets like Lidl, but while it makes my weekly food shop significantly cheaper than shopping at one of the bigger supermarkets, there are always certain brands that you miss.That being said, as far as Diet Coke imitations go, this was actually a really positive start for Lidl.
