Hundreds watch online as Paisley church hosts final service before closure

Paisley church before it closed its doors for good.St Ninian’s Parish Church streamed its final service on social media on Sunday, with people tuning in from all over the world to mark the emotional event.Reverend Peter Gill led the “bittersweet” service at the Ferguslie church, which has been a vital part of the Paisley community for a number of years.It was the first time since the end of March that parishioners joined Rev Gill for a service, with 50 people attending in person for the last time.Many faces who have attended at the church over the years went along for one last service, including one young churchgoer - ten-year-old Liam Roy - who was baptised at the church in the year 2010.The Ferguslie Park church closed with other places.
