Ben Hargreeves (portrayed by Justin H Min) is a standout character among the Umbrellas; despite dying offscreen before the series even began, he continues to appear throughout as a ghost, a spirit inhabiting Klaus' body, and even as a member of The Sparrow Academy in an alternate universe.
However, Ben's existence is rarely acknowledged by his Hargreeves siblings, only coming up in dialogue when they inquire if Klaus' ghost is present in certain situations.
Reginald has previously mentioned to his "children" that they "failed one of their own", but the exact circumstances of Ben's death are not disclosed in either the Netflix series or the original comic books.
