Helen Flanagan has sweetly shown her support to Ellie Leach after the Strictly Come Dancing winner replaced her in what would have been her first stage role.

The actress was due to play Miss Scarlett in play Cluedo 2 - The Next Chapter with the UK tour kicking off last month. However, Ellie, who who won the Strictly Come Dancing Glitterball Trophy in 2023 alongside professional dancer Vito Coppola, was drafted in to star opposite Casualty and Heartbeat actor Jason Durr as Colonel Mustard in the production which will continue touring the country for the next several months.

The announcement in February came after Helen was revealed to be starring in the sequel. "Hey," she started the lengthy caption of her post. "Had a few months off from social but I’m back now," she continued before explaining what had happened between Christmas and now.
