Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our personalised newsletter.A Hamilton schoolgirl who suffers with a rare and incurable kidney disease has been putting her best foot forward in support of a national charity.Sara McDonald (pictured left) and her best friend Mya Rose Adams are taking part in the tough My Bridges Challenges for Kidney Research UK.And so far the girls have raised over £1125.The charity holds a place close in their hearts as eight-year-old Sara has a very rare and incurable condition called Nephrogenic Diabetes Insipidus (NDI).The condition has nothing to do with regular diabetes as the name might wrongly suggest, but instead means Sara’s kidneys do not absorb water and do not tolerate.
