Great Manchester Run 2022 weather forecast for this weekend's races

It's not long to go until thousands of runners hit the streets of Manchester for one of the city's biggest races of the year.

The Great Manchester Run, taking place on Sunday 22 May, will see some 25,000 athletes participate in the the 10K and half marathon events.

The routes cover many of the city's iconic landmarks, including both Old Trafford and Etihad stadiums and the Coronation Street set in Salford Quays.

The first wave kicks off at 8.30am, with start times staggered throughout the day and the last wave beginning at 12.47pm. The day will feature live music from eight entertainment zones, as well as thousands of cheering supporters.
