Glam Hamilton gran Laurie Meisak cried tears of joy after being named first runner-up at Miss Great Britain Classic.The 60-year-old was overcome with emotion after coming in just behind the winner Nicoll Moss, 51, in the same day that her daughter Amy was crowned the new Miss GB 2022/23.Gorgeous Laurie, who lost her dad to cancer in March of this year, was delighted with her title and will wear her Miss GB Classic finalist, a contest for over 45's, sash at pageant events and when supporting her daughter, over the next 12 months.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

It really was such a wonderful experience.“I took to the stage at 60 years old in front of hundreds of people in my swimwear and I felt amazing.“And I did so to show others of similar age that being 60 shouldn’t limit us at all.“When I came off the stage the tears were absolutely streaming.“I was so proud, but also I felt completely overwhelmed and was thinking about my dad and how proud he would have been of us both.“I’m so grateful
