Chilling CCTV footage captured the moment a dangerous thug threatened to shoot a cashier in a terrifying bank robbery just days before he held a knife to a woman's throat.

Anthony Horrocks, who has an 'extensive history of violent offending with guns', targeted the NatWest bank on Melbourne Street in Stalybridge for the second time in a decade.

On September 20 last year, he burst in holding an orange carrier bag with an unknown item inside, police said. He approached the counter, put the bag against the glass barrier and said: "Give me all the money in the till or I will shoot you."
