Former holiday hotspot branded 'England's roughest seaside town' where the good times are 'gone'
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA travel YouTuber visited Blackpool and branded it 'England's roughest seaside town'. Ellis WR, who is originally from Blackburn in Lancashire, said the 'good old days' of the resort are 'long gone' but said Blackpool was 'iconic'.
In his video, he showed viewers a visit to a 'rough' pub in the town and played bingo in the arcades. Ellis started off the film, which has been watched by over 8,000 people, by describing the seaside town as the 'world's first working class holiday resort'.
He explained historically, families didn't have the benefit of cheap, package holidays to Europe and further afield and would instead, spend their free time holidaying there, Lancs Live reports. In a previous video, Ellis stated he's originally from Blackburn but has been away for the last three years with partner Alicia whilst they visited much of the world for travel content.
