On Twitter, Adam explained, “When Olympic gold medalists, Alexei Yagudin, found out I donated to a charity that helps black trans people he said that he COULDNT WAIT for people like me to die.
Because of that I feel INSPIRED to donate another $1000 to the @TheOkraProjectbut this time, in his name.” Adam included his donation to Nyla Sampson, who is the financial advisor and co-facilitator of The Okra Project.
The organization is a “collective that seeks to address the global crisis faced by Black Trans people by bringing home cooked, healthy, and culturally specific meals and resources to Black Trans
