Tess (Georgina Campbell) is a young woman who travels to Detroit for a job interview. She shows up to her Airbnb, in a rough part of town, only to find that another person (Bill Skarsgård) already there.

Thus begins a strange odyssey that is almost impossible to explain without spoiling one of the many shocking twists. Writer/director Zach Cregger really goes for it, laying on stylistic shifts, multiple timelines and, like we said, some trully messed up junk.
