A prosecco-guzzling passenger who threw a tantrum on a TUI flight called a member of the cabin crew a 'p*ff' seconds before she was arrested at Manchester Airport.

The pilot considered diverting the plane as staff dealt with Kesley Hughes' strop. The 32-year-old mum was on a flight from Almeria in Spain to Manchester last October when she was asked to end a FaceTime call during the safety demonstration.

She kicked off after she was told she couldn't charge her phone. Hughes said that decision was 'f***ing ridiculous', before shouting 'sausage' at a steward and making a 'bent hand' gesture, which he believed was a reference to his sexuality.

Manchester Crown Court heard the pilot even gave staff permission to use a restraint kit on Hughes, but it wasn't eventually used.
