Ex pro launches free football sessions in Hamilton in partnership with Lanarkshire recovery group

Free football sessions run by an ex professional player have come to Lanarkshire. Street Soccer's weekly events take place on Wednesday afternoons at Hamilton Palace Sports Ground.

The initiative is run by programme manager and former Livingston captain Stuart Lovell in partnership with recovery-focused community group The Beacons.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

The Beacons use lived experience and the power of community to support those in recovery and help them overcome their issues with substance abuse.Mark Healy, of the Beacons, highlighted his enthusiasm around the partnership and how it may benefit the people of South Lanarkshire.He said: “The Street Soccer sessions in Hamilton have been a welcome addition to The Beacons here within the South Lanarkshire area."Our
