Eduard Spertsyan has been linked with a summer move to Celtic.A £13million move to Newcastle United has been touted for the Armenian playmaker, whilst Ajax were also linked last season.

However, his asking price has since dropped significantly and reports in Russia claim the 23-year-old is being monitored by the Scottish Premiership champions.

Krasnodar star Spertsyan, who has two years left on his deal and 25 caps for his country, is the Armenian national team's star man after making the breakthrough and becoming the youngest-ever Armenian player to feature in the Champions League.Home and away goals against Ireland two years ago helped secure two famous wins for the former Soviet nation, although a big money move is yet to materialise.

However, Spertsyan is still keen to move to Europe, especially amid the sanctions being imposed on Russian clubs due to the country's invasion of Ukraine. He recently spoke of his desire to make a switch, saying: "Yes I want to play in Europe soon, but I know I’ve got to fight and work for it."I don’t want to leave here by running away or with a helicopter!
