Eamonn Holmes has given a rather telling response to the news that his former colleague Phillip Schofield is set for a dramatic return to television. The 64 year old broadcaster, who's been quite outspoken about his disdain for Phil, 62, didn't hold back when Schofield left This Morning amidst a scandal involving an "unwise but not illegal" affair with a younger colleague.
Eamonn took to social media to express his anger, saying: "Schofield has finally been caught out" and slamming ITV as "The ministry of lies." He also shared his feelings of betrayal, claiming he and his ex-wife Ruth Langsford had been "taken for fools" by Phil, especially after they supported him on live TV during his coming-out moment.
Eamonn admitted feeling "felt used and ashamed" after discovering lies from his ITV colleagues, leading to several heated outbursts online.
Now, with Phillip set to make a TV comeback on Channel 5's Cast Away, Eamonn hasn't shied away from showing his true feelings, hinting at the ongoing tension between them. The announcement stirred up quite the reaction on GB News' breakfast show.
