Anthony Lawrence attacked Shane Gilmer and his pregnant partner Laura Sugden in their home in East Yorkshire on the evening of January 12, 2018.

An inquest into Mr Gilmer's death at Hull Coroner’s Court this week heard how he made emergency calls lasting around half an hour while Ms Sudgen attempted to get help from other neighbours.

He told the call operator: "I really, really wanted this baby, I really wanted it", Hull Live reports. Lawrence, 55, had been served with an eviction
