If you weren't at Manchester Pride this weekend, you missed out. Big time. This year's celebrations - still one of the country's biggest LGBTQ+ events - have certainly been one for the books - and it isn’t even quite wrapped up yet.
The atmosphere in the Village across the last three days has been euphoric. At every turn there's been a party - from impromptu DJ sets down side streets and car-park raves to Canal Street discos and singalongs with some of the city's finest drag queens. Join our FREE LGBTQ+ WhatsApp group by clicking here Dogs outfitted with rainbow bandanas and sparkly neckerchiefs have been an integral part of this year's celebrations, and on Sunday afternoon - after a quick stage change on account of the poor weather and sodden Sackville Gardens - they were given their moment in the spotlight.
Drag queen Ginny Lemon hosted their very own dog show over on the Village Stage, providing some much-needed comic relief for those in the crowd with a sore head.
The show, which came complete with a dog assault course, was probably the best way to start the afternoon’s proceeding and made for a thoroughly entertaining show, with those in the crowd loving their demo on using the tunnel and sassy quips.
