Doctor explains why Covid made Derek Draper seriously ill after heart attack
dailyrecord.co.ukA medical expert has weighed in on why Derek Draper has suffered serious health issues since falling ill with Covid back in 2020.The lobbyist and husband of broadcaster Kate Garraway is currently hospitalised and is said to be in a "very serious condition" after suffering a major heart attack.
Prior to this, the 56-year old suffered significant organ damage as a result of the virus.It was previously reported that Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway will spend Christmas in hospital by his bedside and has cancelled upcoming TV and radio appearances.
A source claimed Derek's heart attack came as a "sudden shock" to his family.As reported by the Mirror, they said: "Derek suffered a massive heart attack which has left him fighting for his life all over again.
It was sudden and a shock as he had been doing well and was in great spirits, looking forward to Christmas at home with the family."We just hope there will be some more positive news soon as he has been in such a long and tough battle with his health.
