Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to after three buses were damaged in Leigh. Officers received a report that a male was throwing stones at the buses at about 11.15am yesterday (Wednesday, April 6).

Services along the guided busway between Manchester and Leigh were forced to divert from their usual route as a result. Three buses were damaged and had to be removed from service, which police say caused "serious disruption" for passengers.

Officers attended the scene but have not located the culprit. In a public appeal, Greater Manchester Police said officers wanted to speak to the man pictured in the CCTV images as part of their enquiries. But passengers were instead asked to use 'diversion stops' while officers dealt with anti-social behaviour along the route yesterday.
