A dedicated group of dancers from a Dumbarton dance school joined thousands of others across the country in performing to help raise funds for charity.More than 30 performers from the RTL Dance School joined groups across the UK in taking part in Tapathon 2022 to raise funds for Children in Need.

The ladies had spent more than three months working on their routine – which was performed at the same time as thousands of others throughout the UK.

After being sent a message from organisers bang on 1pm, the routines started – with work still ongoing to determine if the current world record for most people involved in one Tapathon, which sits at 7,596, has been beaten.Regardless of whether or not they are now record holders, school owner Ross Logan was proud of their efforts. He said: “The ladies have shown that there are no limits to their commitment.

They’ve asked me for videos to let them practise certain steps at home, which they’ve done.“Muscle memory isn’t enough to carry you through, so they’ve been working almost non-stop since August to get these routines in their head.“Some of the ladies have even been attending more than one class to make sure they know the steps.“We’re like a little family now, which is amazing.
