The deaths of two fathers who drowned after the prawn trawler they were working on capsized in Loch Fyne could have been avoided, a court has ruled.
Przemyslaw Krawczyk and Duncan MacDougall both tragically lost their lives on January 18, 2018, after the Nancy Glen sank near Tarbert, Argyll and Bute.
As the crew were returning home from a successful day of fishing, the vessel’s nets became stuck on the seafloor causing the boat to “stick and judder”.
Surviving crew member, John Miller, told a Fatal Accident Inquiry that he heard skipper MacDougall, 46, say “something was wrong” and was alarmed by the tone of his voice.
