The original application to West Oxfordshire District Council already angered locals, who called it ‘ugly’ and ‘out of keeping’ with the posh rural area.
But now David and Victoria have asked to extend the lake from 2976 sq metres to 4,170 sq metres. They also want to add an island, which will measure 122 sq metres, large enough for the whole family of six to enjoy a picnic on!
In total, the kidney-shaped stretch of water would be 102 metres wide, with a length of 55.5 metres. The island will be 17 metres by eight metres.
