The 22-year-old joined Corrie in 2011 at just 10-years-old and tackled some huge storylines over the years including teen pregnancy and early menopause.Ellie played Faye Windass in the ITV soap and left the soap after 12 years when 'producers no longer saw a future for her character'.
The actress told The Mirror: "It's always going to be scary leaving somewhere that you've been for a long, long time, but I also think with risk comes reward.
So as much as it will be sad, you can't live in that fear."Ellie's former soap co-stars are determined to see her to well on the BBC ballroom dancing show, where she will battle it out against Zara McDermott, Amanda Abbington, Layton Williams, and Adam Thomas.
