Adam, who is known for playing Donte Charles in the BBC school-based drama and reprised his role in the reboot earlier this year, is among the 15 famous faces who will be seen for the first time on Saturday (September 16) as Strictly 2023 gets underway with the pre-recorded launch show.
It won't be until a week later, on Saturday, September 23, that Adam and his fellow contestants - including former Coronation Street star Ellie Leach, presenter Angela Scanlon, newsreader Krishnan Guru-Murthy and West End star Layton Williams - will officially start competing for the coveted Glitterball trophy. Taking to Instagram on Monday morning (September 11), Adam shared a first look at his Strictly transformation in his first official promo shot.
In the snap, the 35-year-old Manchester star could be seen sporting a silky black patterned shirt under a sparkling black jacket which had been teamed with a smart pair of trousers and patent shoes. "Today I learn to dance!!!!" Adam started the caption of his post.
