BBC Strictly Come Dancing release date announced - and it's sooner than you think

It won't be long now until the brand new series of Strictly Come Dancing is back on our screens as the BBC announce the launch date of the first episode.The star-studded line up who will battle it out for the Glitter Ball trophy includes names such as Les Dennis, EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier, Love Island's Zara McDermott, Coronation Street star Ellie Leach, Channel 4 News anchor Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Sherlock star Amanda Abbington.Show hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will also return once again and Craig Revel-Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and head judge Shirley Ballas will all be back on the judging panel.

And the first episode of the series will air on Saturday, September 23 as the show airs on BBC One, reports The Mirror.
