Coronavirus Scotland: Care home halts visits to residents amid health fears

A Kilmarnock care home has stopped "non-essential" visits to residents amid coronavirus fears.Crossgate Care Home on Meiklewood Road in the town's Onthank area have taken advice from Scottish Care who have advised for these measures to be taken.Home manager Heather Taylor posted on Facebook saying: "Scottish Care has advised care homes to suspend non-essential visits to their homes as a response to the growing threat of COVID-19."Crossgate has decided to take this advice after careful consideration to try and best protect our residents, their families and our staff."We recognise that we are still technically in the ‘containment’ stage of dealing with the Coronavirus, but we believe, following advice and guidance, that the risks to the
