Coronation Street has been awarded four prizes at this year's Inside Soap Awards. Three of the soap's stars were praised for their performances on the cobbles while the programme itself won the gong for best showstopper.

The best showstopper award is given to the soap that has the best showcase stunt or episode. It was awarded to Coronation Street for its acid attack storyline.

The instalment saw Justin Rutherford (Andrew Still) attempt to throw acid on Daisy Midgeley. She had been the victim of a long-running stalking storyline.
