Lucy Fallon has updated Coronation Street fans on whether she'll be staying on the soap after announcing her second pregnancy - and luckily, fans of Bethany Platt don't need to worry!

The soap star, 28, revealed on Monday 19 August that she was expecting her second child with partner Ryan Ledson, 26. She shares a series of clips from throughout her pregnancy on Instagram with the caption: "Half way there." While Coronation Street fans may have been wondering what this means for her character Bethany Platt, Lucy recently took to social media to reassure fans that they haven't seen the last of the soap icon.

Posting on her Instagram story, she wrote: "Lots of Corrie related q's - I won't be away for toooo long and I am returning after I pop the baby out." Lucy shares one year old Sonny Jude with Ryan, with the whole family featuring in her second pregnancy announcement video.

Lucy's friends and colleagues rushed to the comments to congratulate her, with Tanisha Gorey writing: "The best news EVER." Meanwhile, Helen Flanagan commented: "Love you Lucy xxx" Other followers of Lucy also commented on the post, with one writing: "Ahhhh this video makes my heart so happy omg CONGRATULATIONS on your second pregnancy Lucy you're going to be even more amazing with this baby like you are with your angel boy Sonny." The Corrie star, who returned to the soap as Bethany last year after three years away, opened up about her family life in ITVBe's reality series Drama Queens, which also starred Brooke Vincent and Ellie Leach.
